(op ed ... A big thank you to the Supreme Court and Reinquest for writing
the Drug Control Act of 1972 making medical marijuana a commerce crime
worthy of death and worth it to Bush to kill people ..

On Tuesday, July 12, 2005, medical marijuana patient and lifelong advocate
Steve McWilliams committed suicide while awaiting federal sentencing. Many
of us remember Steve as the man who organized and led the September 2002
public handout of medical marijuana to patients at San Diego¹s City Hall.
As a result of this sort of ³balls to the wall² activism, Steve was targeted
by the DEA and arrested on charges relating to the cultivation of 25
marijuana plants grown for the medical marijuana collective he operated,
Shelter from the Storm. He plead guilty because he would have been
prohibited from presenting a valid medical marijuana defense in Federal
court.

Steve was sentenced to six months and released pending appeal but denied
access to marijuana. He had been depressed, in terrible pain, and was
hospitalized as late as last week. Steve¹s depression was apparently a
combination of factors _ including dreadful thoughts about going to prison
and his deteriorating health. He was taking powerful pharmaceuticals
including opiates, anti-nausea, anti-migraine and a variety of other
Œprescribed¹ drugs in far higher amounts than when he was able to medicate
with marijuana. Evidently, they were the substances used to overdose.

Americans for Safe Access invites activists to join us on Tuesday, July 19,
2005, for nationwide vigils to remember Steve McWilliams.

We have received an overwhelming amount of support from community members
for Steve McWilliams. Currently, there are vigils planned in sixteen cities
across the country. To get detailed information about contact the local
contacts, or contact Rebecca: rebecca@safeaccessnow.org or 510-251-1856.

If you are planning a vigil and have not yet alerted ASA about it, please
email Rebecca at rebecca@safeaccessnow.org or call 510-251-1856.

While we are leaving these vigils open-ended to local activists, many will
take place at federal buildings, and we have developed messaging and
materials that you can use.

MESSAGING:

Tuesday is a day to honor Steve McWilliams' life. He was a brave activist,
patient and caregiver who was ultimately attacked by the federal government.
Sadly, Steve's story is not the only tragedy in the medical marijuana
movement. Twenty patients died shortly after WAMM was raided by the DEA.
Others are facing lengthy sentences, when they will be separated from their
families and unable to use their medicine.

This is a time to call on the federal government to stop these tragedies.
The DEA must stop arresting patients and Congress must pass a law protecting
patients' rights in states that allow medical marijuana. Ultimately,
marijuana must be rescheduled so patients throughout the country can use
their medicine without fearing federal attack.

MATERIALS:

Signs: We have created sign with Steve McWilliams' picture and a quote from
him. You can find it on our website:
http://www.safeaccessnow.org/downlo...iams.Poster.pdf
You should make several blown up copies to hold at the vigil. Also feel free
to create your own signs.

Leaflets: Also available on our wesite is a two-sided leaflet that can be
passed out to participants and people passing by the vigil to spread your
message: http://www.safeaccessnow.org/downlo...liams.Flyer.pdf

Banners: Several activists will be creating banners that say: "Ask me how
the feds killed Steve McWilliams." This will attract the public to engage
with you and take interest in your leaflets. Here's a quick how to on
banners. If you'd like more information, please contact the ASA office.

- The best material to use is paint drop cloth. You can usually pick
this up at a hardware store for about $20, which buys you a 9X12 canvass.
- You can cut the 9x12 in half and tie (or sew) together the pieces
to form a longer 4.5x24ft long banner.
- Paint: Black or Red on a white background is best, and easiest.

Thanks to all who are participating in these vigils. This is what Steve
would have wanted. Just as he did, we must continue to fight for patients,
no matter how hard the feds work against us. --

Further proof AmeriKKKa needs a thermonuclear low-level format, followed
by a repartition into chunks sufficiently small not to ever bother anyone
again.

You know, I was reading today how tactics like stripping prisoners and
parading them around on dog leashes were actually government developed and
approved methods of interrogation.

Yet, when the pictures of inmates on leashes first hit the press, the
government made a big to-do about how we don't do such things, and held a
show trial for a bunch of low-level grunts.

Now that time has passed, and public furor has died down, it turns out it
was actually policy after all.

Same thing with the Koran abuse. The government took the one allegation
about a Koran being flushed printed in Newsweek, and made that the
canonical test of whether the stories were true. After a big spin control
exercise over whether absolute proof existed for that particular
allegation, they admitted everything else after the public was tired of
hearing about it.

You wonder why people are this stupid, and re-elect leaders who treat them
like idiots, and view the country as their private amusement park.

Real good, processing emotions via the PTSD issues in the body ... but the
body armor as Reich would say is melting and I have places of 'well being'
in my skin ... it is real neat.

I have my moon in cancer ... and the people who studie the rock in the sky
.... say that Saturn moved out of Cancer where it has been for the past 30
years (Scorpio did a major move of returning 360 degree - 180 year cycle I
heard - about a year ago - so lots of big changes are at hand for lots of
people who I happen to be one).

Anyhow ... 30 years ago was when I was introduced to malignant and
metastatic cancer and starting the healing of the PTSD issues while hobbled
with frequent invasive harsh but necessary medical intervention to keep me
alive thank you very much.

And it brought me to find lovely you in my life. Which I am so very
gratefull for. The DEA keeps me under surveilence. The Sonoma County
Sheriff Dept seems to want to protect the patients who are doing it right on
a par with the political realities of modern day medicine in what the people
have to live with and want the laws to reflect those modern day medicine
realities that necessarily drives the vote, the politics.

The Koolaid Kristians of course - hate this and want to sabotage it -
killing who they have to ... as it is worth it. A commerce crime with a
death penality to protect business over medical care. This is why physician
assisted passing over is bad - this kind of willfull suicide to releive
suffereing that one would do to a dog or horse or cat ... is illegal ... bad
for business. Keep the customer around ... abortion is bad ... losing
customers again ... interstate commerce crime. Federal offense.

Reinquist wrote it I understand ... proud of his work I am sure now that he
has cancer. To late to wake up unfortunately ... he would have been a
better justice with cancer more early in his life.

Life is like that ... a Judge with two divorces, a lost child, some family
life illness under his belt makes him more knowledgeable of life in applying
the law ... same for DAs and Cops.

information to save lives and protect homeland security from other sabotage
in the past and planned for the future by them and others ... who else is
passing out Double Super Duper Top Secret information out ...

abusing the President who has to KNOW who the wife of Ambassador No WMDs to
