| Today is Sunday. "Sun" day. The sun is the center of the universe. Well, "our"
universe we should say. But then, how can you have "our" universe, since the
term "our" implies there must be another to be "ours" from? And we simple know
this is not true. There is only one universe, hence the term "uni", implying
one. Of course this "one" is infinite, boundless, limitless. Nonetheless, the
sun is one of my favorite things. I like the sun a lot.
Listening to Steely Dan on Music Match radio as I type to the "universe". So I'm
going to be very cautious and try not to create any negative karma here. Since
there's a lot of that stuff floating around lately. Highly contagious from what
I hear, but very curable with the right medicine. :-)
I've noticed not much is being said about love these days. Seems to be so out of
date, at least in the popular media, TV & Radio. Are these corporate mediums
beyond redemption? But then again, that's my POV. Perhaps the masses are just
being flooded with "love" by those PTB. (If they even exist at all. ...Hey, the
title of the post is "Ramblings...") I think the Internet is doing a nice end
run though. Thank Self it exists!
One thing I've recently discovered is, I can't, nor do I have to, save the
planet from itself. (But you can have fun trying!) I mean, let's face it, it's a
big world out there, and a lot for just one person to handle. However, the
opposite of my ridiculous statement is also not true. Which means it's false. I
think. ...Anyway, the thought, "what I do doesn't matter a hill of beans", often
comes to mind in my solitudanal ponderances. And though it's true in a universal
sense, I mean God certainly doesn't need my help, so to speak; it is not true in
a personal, or "local" sense. What I say and do, my very being, DOES have effect
on all those I come in contact with, whether I'm conscious of it or not. Family,
friends and strangers I meet and interact with (even just display myself to?) -
all will be "effected" in some way, however small it may be, just by my mere
presence. (Wow, that didn't sound too egotistical, did it? It's true, however.
At least in my experiences.) So in short, I do matter! "Sweet!"
