| It was brought to my attention while I was in the hospital that controling
my diet and loss of weight will help to eliminate diabetes - I'll be darned,
they were right!!!

Not really - controlling diet and losing weight WILL "help" to control
diabetes - in many cases, it's all the "control" that's required. In
many others, it isn't......
The only problem is the use of the term "eliminate" which I doubt was
the term used by those who told the OP about diet and weight
control......
