Author Laws regarding sale of Vitamins and Melatonin in UK?

Hi,

I'm looking into starting a small business in the UK selling packs
containing a selection of vitamin supplements, but I am unsure of the
legal side.

I am hoping to include high doses of both Vitamin C (1000mg) and
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (1000mg), as well as small doses of L-tyrosine,
5-HTP and Melatonin (which I am more uncertain about)

Does anyone out there know where the law stands on the sale of these
supplements in the UK? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in Advance-
-Selwyn

Your looking to start a business and don't even know the answer to that
question? And you look for the answer on a newsgroup? I think you'd be
better off just getting a job somewhere because you just don't seem to have
what it takes to run a successful business.

Yes. I am *starting* a business. Therefore, I don't know *anything*
about it. I am in the process of what is known as *research*. I
believe in approaching as many sources as possible to build up the
best all-round picture of the subject area.

I have approached various government sources, and whilst waiting for
them to respond, I thought I should put my question to a large group
of ordinary people who know a great deal about their respective fields
and can respond in plain english, rather than legal jargon (and for
free!). If you do not have this information, please decline from
responding.

As for "not having what it takes to start a business"... You know
nothing about me.

Regards-
