some good quotes from the archives (explicatives deleted):

"**** YOU AND THE MOUSE YOU RODE IN ON."
"You are a poor little, miniscule excuse for a human being."
"You're one pathetic gutless wonder."
"Yes, sad but true; you Stephen are a pathetic barnacle."
"Wombn, you must be a coward"
"Go to *ell."
"Your "theory" happens to be the largest crock of ****"
"still dateless & frustrated suckwad **** to pour in"
"only sure-fire way I can tolerate idiot posts such as yours."
"Too damn bad most everyone else around were oblivious and
caught up in their own little ignorant superficial worlds"

The above were sometimes in support groups heh.

And then complete BS like the following:

"It definately takes I.Q.'s above 150 to achieve a MASTER'S degree in
English Literature."

Which is nonsense given IQ and grad school correlations. How can one
assess ultra-high IQ, yet can't spell "definitely."

"I originally came in here for a good argument"

Oh Pammy, we never thought you were here for support.

"The rest of us mostly lurk like a venus fly-trap... waiting to jump on
some stupid fly-wagon that chooses to pass thru. We are ruthless and we
take no prisoners for there is a strong enough stench in here already."

Careful, you're showing your true colours.

Prior to recieving Jesus and with my drinking habits, I was on a downward
spiral. Thanks for enlightening me. You
shouldn't drink with meds.

You shouldn't drink anyway.

It's one of those funny things. Up here, about six percent of the
population accounts for about 60 percent of liquor sales. Liquor is
sold by the government and brings in $1 billion in profit each year. I
think it's just another case of our fearless leaders wanting to take as
much money as possible out of our pockets, even if it means leeching
off addicts. For that reason liquor should be banned. So should
lotteries, casinos, and cigarettes. (I say that despite the fact I'm a
smoker and gambler, because those industries also rely on addicts for
their profit.)

But there are people like me who are content with half a pint of beer
each week. For us, drinking is not a problem and probably never will
be. I'd be happy to give up my half-pint each week if it meant addicts
would no longer have access to liquor.

If you are referring to the dollar value of liquor, that's an example of
misapplied statistics. Alchohol can be anything from $10 vodka to $250
cognac. Rich people buy much more expensive liquor. Single drinks at
some restaurants can be $25 apiece.

I know alcholics who drink beer. All the liquor abusers would simply
switch to wine or beer.

I fail to understand the reasoning behind banning everything.

IIRC the stats are not by dollar value but by alcohol quantity. When
adjusted for alcohol percentage, by far the heaviest seller is cheap
vodka. But that's in Ontario, Canada. Things could be different where
you live.

Are you in Russia (where I understand beer is a soft drink)? Where I
live beer and wine are considered alcoholic beverages. Maybe I wasn't
clear on that point.

Or at least shut down the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and the
Ontario Lottery Corporation, and if you wish allow private citizens to
get into the liquor, gambling, and cigarette businesses, but don't use
those industries as a cash cow for taxes. In other words, government
needd to develop some basic human decency and elementary ethics.

PS: You don't like me? I don't care. :p

Well you said liquor. Usually that's distilled not fermented alcoholic
beverages. In several US states, liquor and beer are sold in separate
stores, due to legislation.

Sin taxes are common in western countries.

I have no idea what you're referring to.
