Have any of you ever commited yourselves to a mental institution for a while?

If I don't do it I think one of my friends will.

I need a break from this sick world.

Will they let you back out though? That would be my concern.

In the U.S., they don't keep you very long.

I was in the hospital for 2 months. I was happy to be in there. It was
a respite from the loud voices in my apartment coming from the walls. I
felt safe in the hospital and the other patients were pretty nice.
